no more A than B は A・B の両方を否定
no more A than B は「B が〜でないのと同じく、A も〜でない」。誰もが否定する B を引き合いに、A を強く否定します。

than の後ろは前の枠の繰り返しを省略
A whale is no more a fish than a horse is (a fish). のように、than の後ろは繰り返し（is a fish）が省略されます。

反対の no less A than B は両方を肯定
no less A than B は逆に両方を肯定「B に劣らず A も…だ」。
